For this work, Joe searched the web for students from all over the world in order to get their e-mail adresses and pictures off them.

Afterwards he sent the students the same 12 words about culture, life, nature, .... [These are: 1. red, 2. fashion, 3. death, 4. children, 5. music, 6. foreigner, 7. the aim (goal) in my life, 8. work, 9. love, 10. winter, 11. individualism / teamwork, 12. idols]. He asked them to write about these terms and express what they associated with them.

Joe chose students, because they have almost the same age. They are all about 18-29, so the problem that different ages may result in differences does not exist.

The main work of this project is an interactive CD-ROM [see screenshot on the left]. This is the web version of "Cultural Differences". In the chapters "ANSWERS" you can read what the students replied about the 12 terms.

The work shows, that cultural differences exist, but it also makes clear, how similar we are!
